Attention Coaches, Trainers, Athletes, and Parents: Scott Thom and Josh Schlottman will be holding a coaches clinic at HealthQuest Fitness Center in Napa, California on 7/29/12 from 12 pm-3:30 p.m.
Scott Thom, head strength coach for men’s basketball at California Berkeley has over 10 years of coaching experience. Training athletes ranging from high school to the NBA, Scott Thom will cover; Program design; the different training phases involved, proper tapering, movement screening and, preventative maintenance exercises to keep your athletes injury free throughout the season.
Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach Josh Schlottman has graduated with a degree in Nutrition from Sacramento State University and will be leading a lecture on sports nutrition for the teenage athlete. In this presentation you’ll come away with an understanding on the principles of sports nutrition such as what foods athletes
should and shouldn’t eat, how much of it they should eat and how often they should eat them for optimal performance. Coach Schlottman will also be revealing the truth about training supplements and young athletes as well as how to bulk up and trim down through proper nutrition.
